Kate shared the photo of his family, which the Prince of Wales took, along with a message of appreciation for the public’s “continued support” on social media this morning.
Since her abdominal surgery in January, the Princess of Wales has been the subject of the first official photograph to be released.
On Mother’s Day, the Prince of Wales shared a photograph of Kate and her children that he had captured earlier this week in Windsor. In the post, Kate expressed gratitude to the public for their ongoing support after her surgery.
Kate, whose wedding ring is absent from the photograph, is seen seated and grinning as she embraces her younger children, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, while her eldest child, Prince George, stands by her side and greets her.
Kate accompanied the photo on Instagram with the following message: “Over the past two months, I have greatly appreciated your continued support and kind wishes.
“Wishing everyone a Happy Mother’s Day.”
On January 16, the future queen, aged 42, was committed to the London Clinic in preparation for an operation.
Kensington Palace reported that the princess was “making good progress” upon her return from the private hospital thirteen days later.
Since joining other members of the Royal Family on a Christmas Day walk, Kate has not been spotted in public. However, on March 4, the US celebrity news website TMZ published a photo of her that is believed to have been captured by unauthorized paparazzi.
According to TMZ, the photograph was taken near Windsor Castle and featured Kate wearing dark eyeglasses while seated in the passenger seat of her mother, Carole Middleton, who was driving a black Audi.
Before Easter, Kate does not anticipate resuming her official royal obligations.
Kate’s Health Speculation Intensifies
The Ministry of Defence initially published information on its website last Wednesday that Kate would attend its Trooping the Colour event in June. However, the event’s description subsequently deleted her name.
It is believed that before making the announcement, the army did not seek Kensington Palace’s consent; the palace has yet to confirm her attendance.
As a result of Prince William’s “personal matter”-related withdrawal from his godfather’s memorial at Windsor Castle last month, speculation has increased regarding her health.
Without elaborating on the “personal matter,” the palace stated that Kate was “recovering and continuing to do well” in its statement regarding Prince William’s change of heart.
Prince William will join the Queen at Westminster Abbey on Monday for the Commonwealth Day celebrations.
Kate and the King will both be absent from the service due to their ongoing recovery processes, as the King continues to receive treatment for illness.
In its January health update regarding Kate, Kensington Palace stated that the princess “assures the public of her desire to preserve a degree of normalcy for her children and to ensure the confidentiality of her personal medical information.”
Additionally, the palace stated that “significant new information will be shared regarding Her Royal Highness’ progress; updates will be limited to that.”
