She says it’s humorous that people tell her this scene meant so much to them because I didn’t feel like I did all that well while filming it. However, I am incredibly fortunate that people can relate to the material.
Wood remarks, “That is life: a delicate balance between tragedy and comedy.”

“Strong and incorrect”
In the quasi-medieval comedy Road Trip Seize Them!, the two actresses play the egocentric Queen Dagan (Wood), who is deposed by the meek Joan (Coughlan) and becomes a fugitive in her own country.
The film depicts Princess Dagan’s struggle to regain her dominion during the Dark Ages in Britain. It also stars Jessica Hynes (There She Goes), Nick Frost (Shaun Of The Dead), James Acaster (Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire), and Lolly Adefope (Ghosts).
According to Wood, director Curtis Vowell encouraged them to be “strong and wrong” in their comedic decisions.
“It was similar to when you’re in a school classroom, and you shouldn’t be giggling; you desperately want to restrain yourself, but you can’t. And it simultaneously feels so good and awful, as well as excruciatingly agonizing. This was the nature of the film.”
The subsequent endeavor of the Sex Education protagonist is the top-rated television series The White Lotus.
She states, “I’m feeling a little overwhelmed because I’ll be residing in Thailand for five months, and I’m quite reliant on my friends.”
